De Carlini Vintage Italian Handblown/Painted Christmas Ornament – ” T he M ad Hat ter ” from Alice in Wonderland. Fun fact: the term mad hatter came from the late 1800s when custom hats were the rage. Working with all the chemicals and adhesives that the hatter himself would inhale, after time caused madness. This highly collectible piece is in excellent / possibly mint vintage condition. Considering how fragile they look, they’re much stronger than their appearance might imply. This piece is from my brothers estate. He and I were both avid collectors. I simply have too many pieces to keep them all now that the number has greatly increased unexpectedly.
