(2) NEW Vintage Yankee Candle WHITE CHRISTMAS black bands with different labels

Two gems from Yankee Candle’s heyday. The White Christmas on the left — with the horse-drawn carriage — is more common. The one on the right — with the victorian lace and angels — is a holy grail candle. It is virtually impossible to track down nowadays. The horse-drawn carriage WC is from 2000. If you’re unfamiliar with dating black bands, look at the bottom label and take note of the’0312′ to the right of the bar code. The first number — zero — means this candle was poured in 2000. Had the first number been a 1, the year would have been 2001. So on and so forth. As can be seen, the victorian lace and angels WC has no bar code or numbers. This prevents us from narrowing the pour date to a specific year, but it guarantees that this candle is older than 1989. Bottom labels sans bar codes tell us this much. In other words, vintage! Both candles have never been lit and are in phenomenal condition. And i can’t even begin to tell you how great they smell; open the lids and they sock your nose with a redolent punch. But it really comes as no surprise, as black bands represent an era of top-notch quality in Yankee’s history. They imported the best possible fragrance oils from France, and that’s why BBs are able to sustain their powerful scents for decades. My wish is for this special duo to find a great home.
