Avon 1876 Cape Cod Ruby Red Glass Plates Vintage Christmas 20 pieces. 1876 Cape Cod Collection was by The Boston & Sandwich Glass Works, founded on Cape Cod in 1825 and was famous for it’s quality pressed glass with elaborate, lacy designs. Then, inspired by these lacy designs, especially “Roman Rosette” Avon created this splendid collection. Avon Ruby Red Cape Cod glasses with an ornate design. These are the small goblets – they measure about 4.5 inches high and 2.25 inches wide at the base. Each goblet is marked Avon on the bottom and each one holds about 2.5 ounces. The goblets would make great decorative items for the upcoming Christmas season. They can also be used to hold tea candles. Set includes 12 goblets and 8 dessert plates. All in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, scratches. Plates are 7 1/4. Goblets are 4 5/8″ tall 2 1/4″ at rim. As found and we try to describe each item to the best of our ability.
