Vintage German Glass Christmas Ornament Wire Wrapped Tinsel Indent STUNNING! I have been collecting vintage Christmas for over 30 years, and this is perhaps one of the top glass ornaments I have ever owned for a number of reasons. When you look at it, you lose yourself in the depths and indented part, which is silver to a pleasing shade of ocean blue in the middle. There is much detail in the indent, which leads into a point as you go in, like a cone shape. I would say the indent goes in about 2. The outside ornament itself is a silvery with more of a matte finish and a touch of pink of gold to it – very subtle though. Now what comes next is the icing on the cake, and what was typical with older German ornaments. It is wire wrapped along with some tinsel and glass beads (like they made garland out of to cover the tree) to give the ornament a star effect which works so well given the depth of the indent. This is a dreamy ornament, impeccable in its styling – very perfectly excecuted with wire wrap, tinsel, and beads and all is incredibly intact over all these years. Certain that if you make this yours, it will be the star of any tree. This item was lovingly and meticulously stored in a non-smoking/non-pet home and temperature controlled.
