Vintage 1930-40 GLASS Aluminum CHRISTMAS TREE STAND Bulach Switzerland Green

This is a rare 1930-40 Bulach of Switzerland, glass and aluminum tree stand with brass screws. This tree stand weighs just under 8 lbs! It is made of super heavy emerald green glass that is just under 1/2 thick. These tree stands were made to LAST! There is a large chip at the bottle neck top, but it does not affect the function of this tree stand at all. (see photo’s) The glass has 3 raised “ribs” that circle the belly. You can also see a few swirls, straw-marks and bubbles in the glass from manufacture. These just add to the charm and character of this antique piece! This has been cleaned and looks absolutely amazing with a tree in it. The glass base seems to glow when reflecting the Holidays lights! This could also be used as a vase for fresh or dry flowers or greenery! The tree stand is 7″ tall, with a 4″ diameter top on the glass base x 10 diameter at the base belly. This will hold up to a 2-12 diameter tree trunk. The metal tree holder insert is made of very durable thick aluminum and has 2 (original) heavy brass screws with hand tightening ends that hold on just below the lip of the glass base neck and three (original) screws with T ends that tighten onto the tree to straighten it and hold it in place. The inner bottom of the metal tree holder has a “spike” that grips the cut end of the tree to secure it. This entire metal piece lifts out of the glass when the 3 lower screws are release to make it very easy to clean the glass inside if needed.
